Hey everybody!
It was great to see all the familiar faces again last Friday night and have the bands interact with each other. While the release show was never part of the original plan, we’re glad we went ahead and still did it, it turned out awesome! We’re so proud to have been part of this amazing project with such awesome people; together we have created a good looking, and even better sounding CD :). Be sure to pick one up when one of the bands of the project play a show!
As the flyer for the release said, we also had a kick-ass photobooth made available by MSS-photography. With this post we’ve included the gallery taken from MSS-photography’s Flickr gallery. Check out his gallery for bigger size versions!

First cover released!
This is the first of 2 cover songs we did. It’s a cover of Black Flag’s ‘Rise Above’. All the bands worked together on these cover songs, check it out!!
The second cover, Bane’s ‘Can We Start Again’ will also be available on the CD which you can get (for an amazing price! :)) at the release show upcoming Friday (9th of December)! Don”t forget, 9 December, Willemeen in Arnhem. Doors open at 19:00!

CD Releaseparty, 9th of December! pt. 2
Hey errbody!
The CD and artwork are currently at the pressing plant and we can’t wait to see (and hear ;)) the final result! Also, we’ve been doing a lot of prep work regarding the release show on the 9th of December; you already know there’s going to be a bunch of badass bands, a photobooth with awesome themes by Melvin Sam-Sin Fotografie and of course beer (or cokes..), BUT we’re also exploring the opportunities to add food (VEGAN FOOD!) and maybe even a distro to the party! Like always, we’ll keep you posted on that as well :).
Oh, there’s also going to be a shirt available which design basically consists of a mix of blood, zombie and mullet (we, know, that’s like a triple win, WTF!?) which will be available for a mere €7,50. Or you could just get a package deal consisting of a shirt + CD for €10! Yeah, we’re not in this to get rich.. ;)

CD Releaseparty, 9th of December!
Heya!
Everything has been confirmed and the release party will be held at the Willemeen on the 9th of December! So be sure to mark it in your agendas since this will be a night to remember :D. The doors will be open at 19:00 and the first 30 people will receive a free copy of the WATT CD! There will also be a photobooth made available by photographer Melvin Sam-Sin for you to get your crazy pictures on! :)
And sadly but true, sold out is sold out so get there on time! :)

Updates!
So the final CD is being mastered as we speak which, obviously, we’re very excited about! :) In the meantime we started working on the artwork for the CD which is nearing completion as well, and is starting to look fressshhh!
We’re also in the process of setting everything in stone regarding the release show so when everything has been talked over and agreed on, we’ll definitely let y’all know!

We are the troops pt.2
Last Saturday was the second recording day for this project. Sadly, 2 bands couldn’t make it but we had a blast anyway :). We will be able to start mixing the covers very soon, send all songs to mastering, from there on to the pressing plant and have them send it back to us! Yeah, we’re pretty excited :).
Regarding the release-show, there still has not been a date set in stone yet, but hopefully it will in the very near future but of course we’ll keep y’all updated on that as well!

We are the troops pt.1
Since getting all 9 bands together to record the cover songs on 1 and the same day proved to be difficult, if not impossible, we decided to divide the bands up over 2 days. Those days being Sunday the 11th and Saturday the 17th, both in September.
So obviously, last Sunday was the first of the ‘set’. We’ve had the pleasure of A Jupiter Hymn, Asylum, Phoenix’ Ashes, Rise a Thousand and Solace Within coming on to do their parts for both cover songs. The day certainly was a blast and a success in the simple way we got bands together to interact with one another which was one of the core points of this whole project. Upcoming Saturday will be ‘part 2′ of the cover recordings which will include the rest of the bands, stay tuned, get siked! :)

Asylum #2
Yeaaaaaah buddy, Asylum (the majority of them anyway :)) came in to lay down two of their tracks which turned out really awesome! Asylum plays a mix of melodic hard-/metalcore with heavy breakdowns, be sure to check ‘em out!
With this band we conclude the recordings of the individual bands for this project. With the next updates we will be keeping you informed on the rest of the project (recording the cover songs, the physical CD taking shape, the release-show, etc.)!
